How I got into photography : Ever since I was little, I’ve been drawn to two things: art and people. As a young girl, I loved grabbing my parents’ point-and-shoot camera and photographing anything and everything. Then, in high school, I got a summer job and saved up for my very own DSLR. From that moment on, I was hooked. I took endless photos of my family, my friends, and pretty much anyone who was willing to be in front of my camera. Over time, I realized that photography was the perfect blend of the two things I’ve always loved most—creativity and connection. It gave me a way to create beautiful art while preserving the people, moments, and memories that matter most. In 2020, I decided to take that passion one step further. I officially got my business license and opened Heaven Sent Photography. What started as a love for taking pictures has grown into something I’m incredibly grateful to call my career. Today, I have the privilege of meeting so many amazing people and capturing some of the most meaningful moments in their lives—and I truly wouldn’t have it any other way.

How my business got its name... Before I married my best friend and became a “Jones,” my maiden name was Hevener (pronounced Heaven-er). The story behind “Heaven Sent” actually started with my family. When I was young, my dad started an IT business, and my mom came up with the name “Heaven Sent.” It was a beautiful name, but it didn’t quite fit an IT business, so my dad ultimately chose a different name. Years later, when I began pursuing photography, I started using Heaven Sent Photography—and it stuck. When I officially opened my business in 2020, I considered using my legal name, but ultimately chose to register as Heaven Sent Photography. It felt like the perfect way to honor my family, carry on a little piece of my parents’ story, and most importantly, serve as a reminder of my Heavenly Father, who has blessed me so richly through this business.
